Driving through the city on my way home from work the other day after 6pm. And I realized it wasn't dark out yet.
And then I saw a tiny cherry blossom tree in the median and realized it was PINK with blossoms.
As I pulled into my neighborhood I realized the forsythia is in full Yellow Bloom. And my bulbs around my lamp post? Showing purple crocuses.
And it Hit Me. SPRING CAN'T BE FAR AWAY! Praise God.
And then a snowflake hit my windshield. I wish I made that part up. Really I do. But I didn't.

Owwww. That hurts.
Are you SURE you don't live in Chicago!!!?
When that snowflake hit...did you hear the "wah wah wah...from Debbie downer"????
Uh? What's this "Snowflake" thing you are referring to?
We were at the beach and laying out in the sun all week.
::rubbing it in while laughing maniacally::
AAAAAAAHHHHHHHH. I totally know how that feels. Upstate NY here is 60 degrees but it'll drop to 10 tonight.
Hang in there and if you can't come down and sweat on the swing with me!
At first I was going to be all jealous of you for the blossoms and daylight, and then you mentioned the snowflake.
What the heck, it's still progress!
Sheesh welcome to MY state! It is reverse however...snows you in so you shovel yourself out in the early morning and then the flowers are all in bloom through the melted snow by noon...then nice sunsets and then you wake up and it starts all over again lol!
Hey! You won! :)
That's pretty much the way it is here too...absolutely beautiful weather...the peach, plum and Lord only knows what the others are blossoms are just going nuts. Then...last Saturday, it got cold. But they all survived and this week was even warmer....spring...don't ya love it!?
