I am going to be soooooo sick of hearing that phrase - what movie is that from anyway? Actually I'm already sick of hearing it.
I'm headed to a conference in Vegas. 3000 people. I'm teaching a class (no not on blogging but keywords, metatags and internet advertising and the trademark implications thereof - I'm actually excited in a lawgeek kind of way....)
And there will be lots of "client development" aka parties. Lots of parties. No I will not gamble b/c I hate gambling. But I will be smoozing, and "glad handling" and "grin & greet"-ing. Some of it is fun. Most of it exhausting. oh and I have to fit in my billable time, too and get my pretrial motions filed by Monday afternoon.
Sooooo I won't be blogging for a while. And when I get back on Wednesday for my Ass Update you can bet I won't have made much progress on slimming down....

Have a good time!!!
I don't know where the phrase came from either. It gets old quick though....take care. :0
So I just found your Blog today and I must say, I love it.....!.!.!
Have a safe and fun trip! And, don't forget the other phrase I can't stand anymore - "What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas!" Ugh!
Have a great time...and break a leg there baby in your presentations!!!
I hope you get to watch some shows...my sis, who lives in Vegas, said the Beatles' Love was awesome!!!
debbie....in NagaVegas, baby!
if you do gamble, just know that the machines closest to the front doors are the "loosest." it's a way to lure people inside.
(my cousins live in Vegas. so i've had to go there over time to visit.)
Have fun! I actually wish I could hear your talk. It'd be cool to see what's changed since my "Law of Cyberspace" class waaay back in 2000.
I knew you were a lawyer, but didn't know what area. Do you offer consultations? ;) Have a great time in Las Vegas!!! Knock 'em dead!
I hope you had fun. I'm not a Vegas fan myself--although some of there shows are worth the trip.
I don't like to gamble and the cigarette smoke drives me nuts. I'm so spoiled by living in San Diego--I can literally go weeks without seeing or smelling smoke unless I walk by the smoking area at school (which I really try to avoid).
Have fun in Vegas....love your blog! :)
The "Vegas baby" can be traced to a whole slew of movies, but I do remember it being said countless times by Joey on Friends.
Vegas sucks in a very particular way...sucks the life out of you. I used to go to Comdex and CES and other outrageously huge tech shows and I always felt totally drained of humanity by the time I escaped. My sage advice? Drink lots of water!
